The esteemed organic pine honey of Bee Naturalles was collected from the virgin pine forests of fire-stricken Northern Evia. Now, our bees gather it from Central Evia and the remaining wild pine forests, which we continue to protect at all costs!
It is a honey of exceptional texture, with unique sensory characteristics, rich in trace elements and micronutrients.
A spoonful filled with robust body and wonderful, dense texture, it’s a delightful honey that you almost bite into and adore from the very first spoonful! Rich in composition, with the unique pine character and incomparable “metallic” aftertaste!
Tasting notes, aromas, texture & finish:
A soft and silky honey with an inviting amber colour. Gorgeous silky mouthfeel. Delicate caramel tones with an edge of bitterness and some interesting piney notes which offer a pleasant acidity. A very well balanced honey, a perfect combination of pine, flora and tangy fruit. It reminded us of sticky toffee pudding - buttery and creamy! Smooth, buttery, toffeeish, full of herbal and piney tones - this honey just speaks of its Greek island forest provenance. Delicious!
Ωραία γεύση ήπιο και δυνατή συσκευασία. Διακριτικό και ντελικάτο. Εξαιρετικό!
The international contest, for the best organic honeys in the world!
This is a lovely thick honey, with a deep, almost cloudy, gold colour, a rich toffee texture and melt, and delicious herbal, piney, almost resinous notes. This is stunning. When you spoon it into your mouth it sits in a gloriously creamy puddle on your tongue and as it begins to melt if fills your mouth with a butterscotch rich flavour. Herbal notes combine with a glorious acidity. We loved the fact that it wasn't over filtered too - it just increased the rich flavour. Outstanding!
Appealing deep golden amber colour, glistening and clear with great viscosity. A beautiful and delicious honey with a deep rich aroma of the toffee tones. All encompassing toffee in the mouth with gentle notes of the pine. Immediate rich honey flavour, complex and satisfying!
A really nice texture to this product, quite luxurious. A pleasant rustic flavour you can almost smell the hive! A long sweetness with a herbal overtone. The flavour is fresh and vibrant, of flowers and soft herbs. The pine note is the backbone of the honey!
The international contest, for the best organic honeys in the world!
A glossy dark golden honey with a thick runny consistency. The aroma was sweet with a woodiness coming through in the flavour. A nice shine, consistency and creamy mouth feel. Though it smells like generic honey, it delivers far more on the palate with resinous notes overlaying complex caramel flavours!
This is highest accolade in the renowned 'Great Taste Awards' competition, often referred to as the 'Oscars of the food world'! Bee Naturalles is officially a 'Great Taste Producer'!
The pine honey originates from the honeydew secretions of the insect Marchalina hellenica, known as the ‘worker’ of the pine tree. The ‘worker’ is found in several regions of Greece, such as the virgin pine forests of Evia, where the award-winning organic pine honey of Bee Naturalles is collected.
It stands out for its rich aroma, characteristic color, and ‘metallic’ taste. Its composition reveals taste nuances of wild oregano, sideritis (mountain tea), and heather, which combined with pine honey create a rare culinary experience. Pine honey has high nutritional value, thanks to its rich composition in trace elements.
Due to its low natural glucose content, it crystallizes at a slower pace compared to flower honeys. It is recommended for a diet based on a low glycemic index.
